After taking a break from my exhausting first 2 blog posts, I have returned in an attempt to get one in before the end of 2011 =) I guess I kinda suck at blogging. Oh well. I am happy to be off for a little over a week and getting ready for a big excursion to visit family. The trip should take about 6 hours, but we may break it up into two days as that is a long ride for a 6 month old. The problem is all of the hotels along the freeway got some pretty shady reviews including bed bugs of all things- ack!!! I think that scares me more than 6 hours of driving with a screaming baby. Sigh. We will see. Reminds me of the time I went to Disneyland with some friends, got to the hotel in the wee hours of the morning and found hair in the bed, tub and floor. Ew. Hotels are icky.
I guess I should be packing and getting ready instead of perusing the internet, but hey! Priorities people. I have just worked my booty off for two days and feels good to plant my bum on the couch for a minute while the baby naps =)
In other news, the hubs is sick, has had some weird virus-y feverish thing for over a week now. It's quite weird, he is all lethargic and turning up the heat and wearing jogging pants and not really eating. So not like him. I am thinking he has West Nile Virus or TB as he has night sweats and a cough. And that I will be spending the next 6 months at vigil by his bedside while he withers away and leaves notes for our baby to read when she turns 16 and cries as she tries to imagine the father she never knew. And I will wipe his brow with a handkerchief and he will use it to cough in and there will be a drop of blood and I will hide that I am crying but try to be strong. For him and for the baby.
But probably he just has a mild virus. And I should just enjoy the fact that my house is warmer than usual.
Well, now that I have sufficiently wasted my time, I will go and get ready for our trip!
